Wow! We are half-way through Disability Awareness Month 2023! Students are back on campus after a quiet, and colder-than-usual Spring Break, and our events for the Month are ramping up! So far, we’ve hosted some tabling, a Self-Advocacy Workshop, Accessible Teaching Workshop, and a session of Wheelchair Basketball! Check below for more information about our remaining events.

Excellence in Leadership Speaker Series: Emily Ladau

Emily Ladau, an internationally renowned disability rights activist, speaker, and writer, will be visiting Ball State’s campus for the Excellence In Leadership speaker series. She will be sharing her journey to becoming a disability rights activist and share insight and advice to current students on how to further their activism.

Join Health Promotion and Advocacy for an event on healthy habits for mental health and disability. After a short presentation, there will be open time for a discussion on campus resources as well!
