Summer 2026 is just getting started, and so is the Ball State Writing Center! If you\u2019re taking summer courses, we are still here to support your writing, both online and in-person at our Bracken Library location.<\/p>\n
Even if you\u2019ll be leaving campus and\/or Muncie over the summer, we offer online appointments as well!<\/span>We are available online or in-person at our Bracken Library First Floor West location Monday – Thursday 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. this summer.<\/p>\n Every student is different, and here at Ball State\u2019s Writing Center, we want to accommodate everyone. So, even if you\u2019re not on campus, or if you\u2019re a purely online stud<\/span>ent, we\u2019re still here to support your writing via WCOnline, our virtual appointment system. Our online hours are<\/span> the same as our in-person hours. We have several different kinds of sessions available virtually: feedback, planning, and accountability. You can upload a file for whatever project you\u2019re working on to your appointment, or you can copy and paste it into the whiteboard space within WCOnline so your tutor can <\/span>work with you in re<\/span>al time\u2014just as if you came in for an in-person appointment. Our system also includes a chat function where your tutor can link resources for you, as well as the ability to share screens on either end.<\/p>\n To book an online session, simply visit our website, create an appointment as usual, and check \u2018online\u2019 rather than \u2018in-person.\u2019 Once your create your appointment, you’ll receive a link to WCOnline to access your appointment. You can also click on the appointment time in WCOnline to see your link. You also have <\/span>the option to edit your appointments if you would like to switch an in-person visit to virtual. Remember that this doesn\u2019<\/span>t just apply to our summer availability, but any time that we are open!<\/span><\/p>\n We\u2019re here to aid in your<\/span> continuous improvement as a Ball State write<\/span>r anytime that the university is open, even when you can\u2019t be here physically.
