{"id":62,"date":"2022-01-07T14:35:52","date_gmt":"2022-01-07T19:35:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.bsu.edu\/writingcenter\/?p=62"},"modified":"2022-01-07T14:37:50","modified_gmt":"2022-01-07T19:37:50","slug":"form-good-writing-habits-with-the-writing-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bsu.edu\/writingcenter\/form-good-writing-habits-with-the-writing-center\/","title":{"rendered":"Form Good Writing Habits with the Writing Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Did you know that you can make a repeating writing center appointment where you meet each week on the same day and time with the same tutor?<\/h3>\n<p>This is a great option for anyone who<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>is working on a big writing project,<\/li>\n<li>is in a course with several writing assignments, or<\/li>\n<li>struggles with procrastination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Benefits of a repeating appointment:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Set it and forget it<\/strong>: When you have a regular appointment, you don&#8217;t have to worry about logging in and finding an appointment because your appointments are set for the semester.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Motivation for weekly progress<\/strong>: When you know you&#8217;ll be meeting with your tutor, you&#8217;ll be motivated to make some progress on your writing task(s).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Familiarity<\/strong>: Working with the same person each week means that your tutor understands your writing project well, so you can make solid progress towards your goals.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flexibility<\/strong>: if you need to cancel one week, you can do so without losing your regular spot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To make a repeating appointment<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>You log in to our appointment webpage <a href=\"https:\/\/prodapps.bsu.edu\/WCOnline\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Pick the schedule you want (RB 295 for weekday appointments or Bracken Library for evening\/weekend appointments).<\/li>\n<li>White boxes indicate open appointments.
