Thirty-three of the 200 high-achieving high school and college students who were awarded a Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education will be attending Ball State University in the fall.

Did you participate in any extracurricular activities in high school?
I participated in the Drama Club, and multiple community shows outside of school!
What are you planning on studying at Ball State?
My major is theatre education and my intended minor is special education.
What makes you want to become an educator/teacher?
I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. Sure, there are downsides, but I feel so passionately about teaching future generations.
What made you choose Ball State?
It is close to home and the community feels right for me.
When you think about heading to college in the fall, is there something you are most excited about/looking forward to?
I am most excited about the community. I will be living on campus, so I am excited to see what that brings me.

I love any kind of art-related activities!
