A lifelong Hoosier, Ashley serves as the director of study abroad at the Rinker Center for Global Affairs. She graduated with her bachelor’s and master’s from Ball State and during that time she was able to study abroad in Mexico at Universidad Latina de America in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico in the fall of 2005 and again in the spring of 2007. After graduation, she returned to Ball State as the assistant director of the Speech Team and professor of communications. She also took many groups of students to Guatemala and Ecuador on the Communication + Culture program. In her free time, Ashley has visited over 30 countries (see her recommendations below)! In 2023, she joined the Rinker Center for Global Affairs as the director of study abroad. She is passionate about faculty-led programs and making study abroad options affordable for all students.
