1.     Connect with With Your Instructors

Take the time to reach out and start building your relationships with your instructors. Each instructor offers office hours each week for you to call or email and connect. This will help you if you need to reach out for additional help or tips throughout the semester.

2.     Know the Resources Available to You

As an online student, you have several resources available to assist you in your courses, career search, and mental wellness. You can find a complete list of services available to you here.

3.     Check Canvas and Read Your Syllabi

Learning more about what the individual course requirements and due dates will help you be more prepared and plan out your semester.

4.     Buy Your Books and Course Materials

The sooner you have your course materials ready to go, the better. You can usually find a complete list of course materials on each of your syllabi. If you would like to see all your required course materials at once, you can log in to Self-Service Banner and select View/Order Textbooks on your student schedule.

5.     Reach Out to Your Advisor
