Congratulations to OCE team members Suzie Jones and Krista Flynn, who were recognized during a reception on Tuesday, April 9, for their years of service at Ball State University.
Honored for her 30 years of service was Krista Flynn, a program coordinator for OCE. The Heart of United Way Day of Action and the $2 Tour of the Village are just a few of the many events Krista leads on campus.
“Over the past 30 years, I’ve enjoyed most working with and making lifelong friends,” she said.
And Suzie Jones, who always jokes that she is part of the “bricks and mortar” here, was honored for her 35 years of service at Ball State. Suzie is a project coordinator in the OCE office and coordinates Charlie’s Coloring and Reading challenges and the Academy for Community Leadership each year, among many other projects.
“As I reflect on 3 ½ decades, it truly is an honor to serve in my current role with the Office of Community Engagement alongside my hardworking, amazing colleagues who are also good friends,” she said. “The position is the perfect relationship blend of working with Ball State faculty, staff, and service employees plus partnering with community members and organizations on countless events and projects. It is the best of both worlds, and it has been beyond rewarding. I am richly blessed, and the journey is far from over. Go Cards!”
