We are also performing at two stops on the way: Pickerington North High School (outside of Columbus, Ohio) and Cumberland Valley High School (outside of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h4><strong>What is the repertoire for the performance?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Gustav Holst:<\/strong>\u00a0&#8220;Jupiter&#8221; from <em>The Planets<br \/>\n<\/em><strong>Libby Larsen:<\/strong> <em>Deep Summer Music<br \/>\n<\/em><strong>William Perry:<\/strong> Trumpet Concerto, Movement 1 (featuring BSU trumpet professor Stephen Campbell)<br \/>\n<strong>Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky:<\/strong>\u00a0&#8220;Pas de Deux&#8221; from <em>Nutcracker<\/em> (with dancers from BSU&#8217;s Theatre and Dance Department)<br \/>\n<strong>Sergei Prokofiev:<\/strong>\u00a0&#8220;Montagues and Capulets&#8221; from <em>Romeo and Juliet,<\/em> Suite No. 2<br \/>\n<strong>Leonard Bernstein:<\/strong> Symphonic Dances from <em>West Side Story\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h4><strong>What has the preparation been like for this trip?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<blockquote><p>Musically speaking, just reviewing and fine tuning the repertoire that was all performed last semester (we are also performing this program at the Indiana Music Education Association conference). Logistically, lots of emails for me!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h4><strong>Will the orchestra members attend any seminars or performances while in Boston?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<blockquote><p>We will attend a performance of the MIT Orchestra at the conference. After our performance, students will be given a free evening to attend sessions at the conference, a Boston Symphony Orchestra performance, or whatever they can find!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h4><strong>How was the BBSO selected to perform at the conference?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<blockquote><p>We submitted an application and were accepted to perform by a blind jury.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h4><strong>Is there anything else you\u2019d like to share about the trip?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<blockquote><p>As far as anyone can remember, this is the first national conference performance by the BSSO.
