In fact, in the <\/span><span>last academic year rooms reservations approached 76% of where they were before the pandemic, a tremendous recovery that <\/span><span>evidences the importance of access to reservable rooms for student and faculty success. It is important to note that users are also able to utilize rooms when they are available without making a reservation<\/span><span>. H<\/span><span>owever,<\/span><span> students\u2019 <\/span><span>ability to reserve a <\/span><span>room<\/span> <span>so<\/span><span> they can ensure access to the spaces and tools<\/span><span> need<\/span><span>ed<\/span><span> to meet their academic needs is central to student success.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" style=\"margin: 0in;margin-bottom: .0001pt;vertical-align: baseline\"><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span><span class=\"normaltextrun\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\"><span class=\"eop\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" style=\"margin: 0in;margin-bottom: .0001pt;vertical-align: baseline\"><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span><span class=\"normaltextrun\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">F<\/span>or the Fall and Spring semesters in academic year 2022, we calculated that <b><i><\/i><\/b><\/span><em><strong>roughly one out of every four students on campus utilized our spaces through the <a href=\"https:\/\/lib.bsu.edu\/openroom2\/\">room reservation system<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><em><strong><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\"><span class=\"eop\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" style=\"margin: 0in;margin-bottom: .0001pt;vertical-align: baseline\"><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" style=\"margin: 0in;margin-bottom: .0001pt;vertical-align: baseline\"><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span><span class=\"normaltextrun\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">The <\/span>data indicates that the utilization of study and meeting spaces is an essential service that the University Libraries provide to the Ball State Community.
