These visualizations enable faculty, department chairs, the Admissions office, and administrators to make data-informed decisions with confidence and clarity.

1. Admissions Dashboard

We are thrilled to unveil the updated Admissions Dashboard, developed in close partnership with HelioCampus and the Ball State Admissions CRM Systems team. This extensive upgrade has been over a year in the making. It adds greater filtering flexibility and deeper analytical capabilities to an already robust tool.

• Comparative views of applied, admitted, and enrolled counts across terms.
• Enhanced filter options are available by entry type, student level, ethnicity, etc.
• Insights into academic preparedness via SAT/ACT scores and GPA data
• Geographic mapping of applicants by Indiana counties, U.S. states, and international origin.

2. Housing Dashboard: Understanding Campus Living Patterns

The Housing Dashboard gives an overview of student housing options and the way these affect university life and retention. Users can explore:

• Occupancy patterns by campus neighborhoods and room category
• Retention measures by student level, college, gender, ethnicity, etc., broken out by period
• Drill-down results filter by student level, college, gender, ethnicity, etc.

 3. HIPs Dashboard: Measuring Transformational Learning

The HIPs Dashboard helps us track student engagement in High-Impact Practices like internships, service learning, study abroad, and more. Features include:

• Longitudinal trends in HIP participation
• Bar chart comparisons of HIP participants vs. the general student body
• Interactive filters by demographics, majors, and class level
• A “Select Demographics” toggle for custom analyses of equity and engagement
