On October 21, 2022, representatives from Ball State Disability Services attended the 2022 Indiana Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) conference in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Members of Ball State were honored at the member’s meeting for their service on the executive board of AHEAD\u2014Dr. Courtney Jarrett as Immediate Past President, and Nick Baumgartner as Treasurer. Nick was also awarded the 2022 President’s Award, given for exceptional service to AHEAD and advancing the field of disability services in Indiana. Baumgartner was also elected President-Elect of Indiana AHEAD.<\/p>\n

This was the first in-person event for this organization since the pandemic and around 50 disability services professionals from Indiana gathered to learn about relevant topics in the field. Nick Baumgartner, Manager of Accessible Technology, gave the only technology presentation offered at the event called “Evaluating Web Accessibility Documentation Like a Pro: A Practical Approach for the Tech Novice”.<\/p>\n
