Ella Flanagan, a Construction Management major with minors in Real Estate Development and Business, serves as the Madison County Ambassador.<\/p>\n
As a County Ambassador, Ella has found a meaningful way to stay connected to her roots while enhancing her college experience. She was drawn to the program because it gives her a platform to share the best parts of Madison County and form new relationships in her local community. Ella\u2019s favorite part of the role is making these connections and proudly representing where she\u2019s from. One of her most memorable experiences as a County Ambassador was participating in Ball State Day at the Statehouse, where she had the opportunity to meet Indiana\u2019s state leaders. \u201cIt was a cool experience being recognized by state leaders and sharing about this program,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n
Choosing Ball State was a natural decision for Ella. \u201cI chose Ball State because of the location and the amazing programs they offer,\u201d she shares. The university\u2019s strong academic offerings, paired with its welcoming environment, made it the right fit as she pursued her career goals. On campus, Ella stays active and engaged\u2014something she says has been essential to her personal and professional growth. Through leadership opportunities, she\u2019s built confidence, developed career-ready skills, and gained exposure to the many industries shaping Indiana\u2019s future. \u201cBeing involved on campus has given me countless opportunities to develop leadership skills, network with professionals in my industry, and learn about the amazing opportunities in Indiana,\u201d she reflects. Her advice to other students looking to take on leadership roles? \u201cDo not be afraid to get involved. It leads to so much growth personally and professionally!\u201d<\/p>\n
Outside of her academic and ambassador responsibilities, Ella enjoys relaxing with friends, trying out new coffee shops, and playing pickleball. When she\u2019s back home in Elwood, she loves spending time downtown\u2014especially at Gypsy Soul and other local restaurants that make home feel special.<\/p>\n
Looking ahead, Ella is focused on a future in construction and real estate development, where she plans to apply everything she\u2019s learned both in and out of the classroom. With a passion for community, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence, Ella is well on her way to making an impact in her field.<\/p>\n
