Kinsley Walker, a Fashion Industry Studies major with a minor in Digital Marketing from Fort Wayne, Indiana, proudly represents Allen County on campus.

As Allen County Ambassador, Kinsley enjoys the creative freedom the program offers. “I like how much creative ability you have within the County Ambassador program. You’re able to make it your own, work on your own time, and talk about a place that’s meaningful and exciting to you,” she explains. The program allows her to represent her home county while exploring her passions and enhancing her skills.

Kinsley is also excited about the leadership opportunities the program provides. She’s eager to build her skills while furthering her passion for digital marketing. “I’m looking forward to the new connections and experiences that this program has to offer,” she shares. “Being a County Ambassador allows me to develop more leadership opportunities, strengthen public speaking skills, and support my passion for digital marketing.”

For anyone considering leadership roles like this one, Kinsley has some encouraging advice: “Just go for it! Ask questions and get as much information as you can to see what the program can offer you. I’m still new to the program, but I can tell there’s lots to gain from being involved. Don’t be afraid to say yes to something new! You never know where the connections and experiences will take you.”

Looking ahead, Kinsley has big goals for her future. After graduation, she hopes to secure a job in styling, helping people find their personal style and build confidence through fashion. “I hope to be fully confident in speaking publicly and approaching people,” she says. Her ultimate dream is to create her own clothing line, collaborate with companies, and expand her social media presence.

When Kinsley isn’t working on her studies or engaging in her County Ambassador role, she enjoys unwinding by watching movies and shopping. “My favorite thing to do when I go back home is take a trip to TJ Maxx or Marshall’s and end the day with Crumbl Cookies!”

Kinsley Walker is making a lasting impact during her time as a college student. With her passion, leadership, and dedication to growth, she’s poised to achieve great things, both at Ball State and beyond.
