The start of a new year means a new refresh on life! Resolutions come to play: clean the house, join a gym, start a manifestation journal, or even pick up a new hobby. But this year, one refresh from you can make a world of difference for someone else. Take your time at home before the semester begins to declutter your closet!
This declutter-for-donation will not only help our community and help you reach your decluttering resolutions. This will also provide a community service opportunity! Once clothing has been donated, QR codes will be available for students to log their service on GivePulse using the “donation” selection.
But why declutter your clothing?
Because January 9th through 20th, the Honors Association for Community Engagement (HACE) is hosting a clothing donation drive for the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul. St. Vincent de Paul is a charitable organization that helps to connect community members in need with donated items. Bring in your gently-used clothing items to help our community! This clothing donation drive is also a great way to check off any decluttering resolutions!
Where, you ask, should you bring these items?
HACE is offering three convenient drop-off bin locations for these items! Not only will the Honors House offer space for donation bins, but bins will also be available at the Office of Inclusive Excellence in the Applied Technologies Building and the Multicultural Center!
Your resolution could help make a difference in someone’s living situation. Help out our community, and our environment, by recycling your gently-used clothing any time from January 9th to January 20th at any of the three donation locations! HACE and the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul thank you for your fantastic new resolution to help make a difference!
