Duel Degree Programs
The Rinker Center is excited to announce the launch of new and expanded global academic partnerships, reinforcing Ball State’s commitment to international collaboration. This year, we proudly welcomed our first cohort of 29 1+2+1 dual degree students, the first since the COVID-19 pandemic, from partner universities in China. These programs continue to provide unique academic pathways, and we’re thrilled to announce new dual degree programs slated to launch in Fall 2025.
Among these exciting developments are the 3+1 or 1+2+1 programs with the Miller College of Business and Guang Dong University of Technology, as well as the introduction of the 3+1+1 accelerated master’s degree programs in partnership with CCIM, Teacher’s College, Xi’an Eurasian University, and Nanjing Xiaozhuang University. As we look to the future, we’re actively building an expansion strategy to target prospective partners in Vietnam, Egypt, and India, continuing to broaden the global opportunities available to students and faculty alike. These partnerships are vital in fostering cross-cultural learning and academic excellence!
Intensive English Institute
The Rinker Center is excited to report tremendous growth as we work towards building a more self-sufficient and sustainable program! Enrollment has surged by an impressive 40% in 2024, reflecting the growing demand for global education at Ball State. Our expanding dual degree partnerships are creating exciting new recruitment opportunities, further supporting our mission to bring international students to our campus.
To ensure the success of all students, we’re committed to meeting the language needs of our international community. Our new EAP299 course offers one credit of English for Academic Purposes (EAP), designed to support the language proficiency of all ESL students. We’re also providing ESL workshops for incoming dual degree applicants, and as a strategic marketing tool to attract more international partners and showcase Ball State’s commitment to student success. Additionally, we offered ESL training to international students attending our short-term summer camp, ensuring they have the skills needed to thrive in their programs. These efforts not only bolster our current programs but also position us as a leader in global education.
