IEW is a joint initiative by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education designed to promote global learning and cross-cultural exchange.   • Come learn more about Pakistan!  During our Culture Exchange events, the Rinker Center for Global Affairs invites guest speakers from all over the world to share an inside look into their country! 

iFest — November 20, 5-7 PM, Student Center 2nd floor (Ballroom/Cardinal Hall) 

  • iFest is a celebration of our international students’ cultures. Participants will then be able to sample snacks from around the globe, including a variety of insects. The event will end with Global Trivia in Cardinal Hall starting at 6:30pm; there will be a prize for the winning team! 

Global Symposium — November 21, 8am-5pm, Yuhas Room (SC 102) 

  • The Rinker Center for Global Affairs will showcase faculty, staff, and students’ globally focused research, teaching, service, or personal experiences at our inaugural Global Symposium during International Education Week 2024.  Let’s celebrate the global impact of our diverse academic and personal journeys! 

Final Celebration — November 22, 4:30-6 PM, Student Center Ballroom 

  • Join the Office of the President and the Rinker Center for Global Affairs as we celebrate the end of International Education Week. We’ll have remarks from President Mearns, a couple of international alumni, and students who have had impactful study abroad programs. We’ll also have a couple of student performances and a moment to reflect on what it means to be a Global Cardinal. There will be light refreshments!
