Ball State’s Alumni Council is the governing body of the Alumni Association, with members serving as ambassadors for the University. These individuals play an active role in strategic decision-making for our 217,000+ alumni. On June 14th, the Alumni Council convened in person to continue their work on strategic alumni engagement initiatives.  During the Council’s business meeting, four new members were elected as At-Large Representatives for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2024.

NEW MEMBERS

Dawn Adamson ’85

Dawn Adamson resides in Atlanta, GA, and is the Senior Consultant, Client Marketing for Truist Financial Corporation. She graduated from Ball State in 1985 with a degree in Legal Administration.

Ebonee Doblasse ’06, ’10

Ebonee Doblasse lives in Indianapolis, IN, and is the Clinical Trial Manager for Syneos Health Clinical Solutions. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the College of Health in 2006 and returned to Ball State to obtain her Master of Science in Physiology in 2010.

Kathy Furnish ’91

Kathy Furnish, from New Albany, IN, works as Media Planner/Buyer for Bandy Carroll Hellige Advertising. She graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Marketing from the College of Communication, Information, and Media.

Karen Pipes ’92, ’02

Karen Pipes lives in Centerville, IN and works as Senior Vice President, Public Policy Lead for the Bank of America. At Ball State, she earned her Bachelor of Science in History and Political Science from the College of Science and Health in 1992. She later returned to obtain her Master of Public Administration in Public Administration in 2002.

This past meeting also served as the end of service on the Alumni Council for four members; Jeff Dack ’00, Doug Cook ’79, Jay Brill ’74, and Adam Drummond ’02, ’05, ’11, ’14. The University is forever grateful for the work that each has done as ambassadors and representatives for Ball State.
