Learn about some of the Alumni Association’s rockstar volunteers and the uncomparable efforts that help bring fun and success to their local areas.
Karen Zonis-Belcher, ’90
Northeastern Indiana Alumni Chapter Social Media Chair
Via their annual golf outing, the Northeastern Chapter provides three $1,000 annual scholarships to Fort Wayne area students entering Ball State. Karen’s social media leadership has proven instrumental in raising these funds. She led the chapter’s ThanksGifting social media takeover in November and the chapter’s One Ball State Day (OBSD) social media efforts, winning a $500 social media grant for the chapter scholarship due to her interaction with the OBSD’s video post.
Shawn Meier, ’09
Indianapolis Alumni Chapter Fundraising/Scholarship Chair
Shawn placed tenth among this year’s OBSD ambassadors and is instrumental in the chapter’s scholarship selection, with awards given to upper-level students. Shawn’s influence was so impactful on the 2020 recipient that he also participated in the chapter’s 2021 OBSD campaign.
Samantha Adamczewski, ’10
Michiana Alumni Chapter President
Sam’s leadership and creativity drive the Michiana chapter’s outreach. Their upcoming Ninja Golf putt-putt outing in June will allow the newest Michiana alumni and recruits to face off with their parents in this novel event.
Beth Snyder, ’78
Cincinnati Network Alumni Council Member
Beth serves on the council’s scholarship committee and guides the awarding of the Alumni Legacy Scholarships. Beth is constantly looking for opportunities to interact with students from the Cincinnati area and welcome them back as alumni through Cocktails with Cardinals and other virtual and in-person events.
