Douglas,<\/strong> associate professor of English at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Douglas is a founding member of the Affrilachian Poets, a Cave Canem fellow, and Poetry Editor for <em>PLUCK!: the Journal of Affrilachian Arts &amp; Culture<\/em>. His second poetry collection, <em>\\blak\\ \\al-f\u0259 bet\\<\/em>, winner of the 2011 Lexi Rudnitsky\/Editor\u2019s Choice Award, is available from Persea Books.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shari Wagner,<\/strong> author of two books of poetry: <em>The Harmonist at Nightfall: Poems of Indiana<\/em> (Bottom Dog Press, 2013) and <em>Evening Chore<\/em> (Cascadia, 2005). She was co-winner of Shenandoah\u2019s The Carter Prize for the Essay (2009) and the recipient of two Arts Council of Indianapolis Creative Renewal Fellowships, as well as grants from the Indiana Arts Commission.<br \/>\n<strong>Allison Nusbaum,<\/strong> a *<span style=\"color:#ff0000\">junior at Ball State University*<\/span> majoring in creative writing with a minor in screenwriting. While she still hopes to become a Hollywood screenwriter, she has also recently discovered her love of poetry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height:1.5\">Celebrate <\/span><strong style=\"line-height:1.5\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.poets.org\/national-poetry-month\/poem-your-pocket-day\" target=\"_blank\">Poem in Your Pocket Day<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"line-height:1.5\"> by carrying around your favorite poem and sharing it with friends. If you want to make your friends uncomfortable, share the poem in a crowded place. Through a megaphone.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Become well-versed with a few slam poets.
