We\u2019re\u00a0#bsuenglish<\/a>, a community of students, teachers, writers, poets, authors, and all-around lovers of English.<\/em><\/p>\n

The English Department at Ball State University has always seemed to be less of a\u00a0department and more of a community. Here, we survive and thrive through each other; we\u2019re a\u00a0patchwork group of people from different backgrounds, diverse life experiences, truly all walks\u00a0of life. What binds us together is our identical appreciation for the written word in all its forms,\u00a0and as the written word becomes increasingly more present on digital media, the English\u00a0Department has dutifully followed suit.<\/p>\n

In order to better link together our self-made community, we\u2019ve reached our students\u00a0and faculty on all available platforms. Follow us on\u00a0Twitter<\/a>. Like us on\u00a0Facebook<\/a>. Check our Instagram<\/a>\u00a0to get to know our students and faculty directly, through their own words.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve\u00a0digitized our community in a way that makes it accessible to everyone. We\u2019re no longer just\u00a0hanging out in the hallways between classes, or meeting with faculty members during office\u00a0hours.
