A Year of Growth and Gratitude
Well, another year is winding down! As the fall semester comes to a close, the team at Disability Services wants to wish everyone a restful and rejuvenating winter break.
We’re incredibly proud to have supported a record number of students this year. It’s been a fantastic year, made possible by the hard work and dedication of our amazing team. We’re especially grateful for the collaboration with faculty and staff across campus, who have been instrumental in creating a more inclusive learning environment.
I want to give a huge shoutout to our two new incredible Assistant Directors, Mac and Ethan. They’ve not only been amazing at learning their day-to-day work, but they’ve also worked tirelessly at any of the unique student issues that have popped up this semester. I am grateful for their humor, their resilience, and their friendship.
Our office wouldn’t run without Sharon, our fabulous Administrative Coordinator. She’s the backbone of our team, always ready to help and keep things organized. We’re also so lucky to have had a fantastic group of student workers this semester. James, Lydia, and Seren have been incredible at helping students, families, staff, and faculty. And our graduate students, Addison and Amanda, have been invaluable in tackling a wide range of tasks.
Last, but certainly not least, I am so thankful to collaborate with Jim Mills, who runs our accommodated testing, Jeff Bowers, BSU Captions Coordinator, and Nick Baumgartner, Manage of Digital Accessibility. These guys work diligently to provide accommodations and access to thousands of students with disabilities. We could not serve the number of students we currently do without their help and hard work.
Thank you for being a part of the Disability Services family. We wish you all a wonderful holiday season!
Sincerely,
Dr. Courtney Jarrett
Director, Disability Services
