WANT TO WORK FOR COMPASS CREATIVE?<\/a><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

Seven appointments available in AY 2022-23. <\/strong>They may span one or two semesters; the length depends on your availability and how much you want to accomplish. Student interns receive pay for 150 hours of work for each semester at $9 per hr. Deadline for applications is Monday, April 11, 2022.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Job responsibilities<\/strong> will start in August 2022 and will include: serving the departments of:<\/h3>\n

1.) Anthropology<\/p>\n

2.) English<\/p>\n

3.) History<\/p>\n

4.) Modern Languages & Classics<\/p>\n

5.) Philosophy & Religious Studies<\/p>\n

Our primary work involves helping departments create community and tell stories via these projects:<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Weekly Digest Emails<\/li>\n
  • Publicizing student success via Dean’s List<\/li>\n
  • Cardinal Directions alumni blog posts<\/li>\n
  • Good News blog posts<\/li>\n
  • Promoting major events<\/li>\n
  • Fundraising (such as OBSD)<\/li>\n
  • Promoting courses<\/li>\n
  • Celebrating student success via awards ceremonies<\/li>\n
  • Alumni e-newsletters to be sent out at least once a year<\/li>\n
  • Promoting faculty success via Sabbatical Talks<\/li>\n
  • Telling bigger stories via mutli-channel campaigns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Student Project Managers attend all class meetings of ENG 375<\/strong> which is tentatively scheduled to meet in F22 on MW at 3-4:15 PM, plus a lab scheduled M 9-10:30 AM; and other tasks as assigned.<\/p>\n

    Required qualifications:<\/strong> excellent writing, editing, and design skills; project management skills; ability to train and manage a small team; ability to interact professionally with faculty and students; ability to manage a blog on WordPress; experience using Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for a professional purpose.<\/p>\n

    Preferred qualifications:<\/strong>\u00a0 applicants who have taken ENG 375 with Prof. Gardiner and have experience in this unique immersive-learning class; applicants who have taken another immersive-learning course; applicants who are majoring or minoring in CSH, preferably Anthropology, English, History, Modern Languages & Classics, and Philosophy & Religious Studies; experience using project management software such as Basecamp; InDesign experience; photography experience; Adobe Illustrator experience; Photoshop experience; .<\/p>\n

    Organizational Chart for Compass Creative<\/p><\/div>\n

    Student Project Managers (10 hrs week)<\/strong><\/h1>\n

    Campaigns Project Manager <\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n
      \n
    • Often works alongside the Director and Assistant Director, but works alone and does not direct a team of students.<\/li>\n
    • Oversees larger multi-channel projects, such as campaigns for recruitment and retention, awareness\/education, large event promotion, entertaining themes, etc.<\/li>\n
    • synthesizes information submitted from clients<\/li>\n
    • Creates call-to-action and overall strategy<\/li>\n
    • Creates content and schedule for posting\/publishing<\/li>\n
    • Sets SMART Goals for the campaign<\/li>\n
    • Hands the “ready-to-implement” campaign over to the other project managers to schedule.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Social Media Team <\/strong>Project Manager 1<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n
        \n
      • Runs the social media channels for English and History<\/strong> departments<\/li>\n
      • Oversees routine and ongoing social media tasks, such as performing social listening and monitoring<\/li>\n
      • Updating our content calendars.<\/li>\n
      • Scheduling and posting new content to Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.<\/li>\n
      • Social media engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Social Media Team Project Manger 2<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n
          \n
        • Runs the social media channels for Anthropology, MLC, and Phil\/RS <\/strong>departments.<\/li>\n
        • Other duties same as above<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Blog Team Project Manager<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n
            \n
          • Blog post development and editing<\/li>\n
          • Maintenance to WordPress sites, such as BQBI and Student History Conference<\/li>\n
          • Scheduling posts and making sure the schedule is posted on our Content Calendar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Curation Team\u00a0Project Manager<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n
              \n
            • The curation team finds, organizes, annotates, and shares relevant and high-quality digital content on a specific topic for our audience.<\/li>\n
            • This takes two forms:\n
                \n
              • Weekly emails to departments.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n
              • Alumni e-newsletters<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                Design Team Project Manager<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n
                  \n
                • responsible for all digital (hallway digital displays) and non-digital (bulletin boards) display spaces we maintain.<\/li>\n
                • creation of designed assets, such as posters, flyers, designed assets for social media posts, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  Channels Project Manager\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n
                    \n
                  • Works alone, not with a team of students<\/li>\n
                  • Submits our work via various communication channels: Sitecore, Comm Center, Outlook, ChannelsHD, calendars<\/li>\n
