In the United States alone we know that 1 in 8 people face hunger every day, including more than 12 million children and nearly one-third of college students. All this happening in one of the most abundant food producing countries in the world. His research focuses on the integration of social work in sports, which has led to several journal publications, national presentations, and the first ever Sport Social Work textbook. He is the Editor for the Sport Social Work Journal, which is the only peer-reviewed journal with an emphasis on Sport Social Work. Additionally, he is the co-founder and Past President of the Alliance of Social Workers in Sports (ASWIS). He has extensive experience working with multiple sports organizations from the youth to professional level. He grew up in West Virginia and has a deep passion for rural communities, poverty, and food insecurity. Matt currently serves as an Associate Professor and Chair for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bsu.edu\/academics\/collegesanddepartments\/social-work\">Department of Social Work<\/a> at Ball State University.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Hanna Kelley, American Dairy Association Indiana\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-159  alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/bsu-wpe-blogs.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2022\/09\/02155954\/hanna-headshot-scaled-e1662149110670-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"194\" height=\"222\" \/>Hanna Kelley, RD, LD, is the Director of Health and Wellness for the <a href=\"https:\/\/winnersdrinkmilk.com\/\">American Dairy Association Indiana (ADAI)<\/a>, working on behalf of Indiana\u2019s 750 dairy farm families for the last 6 years. As a Registered and Licensed Dietitian, Hanna is passionate about the health of our community, helping others understand the facts about food and where it comes from and ensuring access to nutritious, affordable food is available for everyone. She provides science-based nutrition information to healthcare providers, schools, the media and the community. She is currently serving as Past President of the Indiana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in addition to volunteering on the Healthy Schools Action Team for the Hoosier Health and Wellness Alliance.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Sunni Matters, Second Harvest Food Bank <br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-161  alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/bsu-wpe-blogs.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2022\/09\/02160016\/Sunni-Matters-headshot-e1662149224174-300x283.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"246\" height=\"228\" \/><\/strong>Sunni Matters is the Director of Impact at Second Harvest Food Bank. As the leader of the impact team, Sunni supervises all the initiatives, programs, and distributions for <a href=\"https:\/\/curehunger.org\/\">Second Harvest Food Bank<\/a>. She earned her master\u2019s degree at Ball State University in Sociology with a post graduate certificate in Institutional Research. Sunni is active in the Muncie community and serves on the board for Prevent Child Abuse of Delaware County.<strong><br \/><br \/><\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Carol Bradshaw, Second Harvest Food Bank<br \/><\/strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-158  alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/bsu-wpe-blogs.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2022\/09\/02155939\/Carol-Headshot_1-scaled-e1662149300373-300x268.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"215\" height=\"189\" \/>Carol Bradshaw is the Forward STEPS Manager at Second Harvest Food Bank. Forward STEPS is an initiative of Second Harvest that focuses on communities learning about poverty and neighbor economic mobility. She earned her master\u2019s degree at Ball State University in Executive Development for Public Service with an emphasis in Adult and Community Education.
