Jump Start is a wonderful program that brings first year College of Health majors to campus early. We help the move into the dorms and provide a great sneak peek into campus and Muncie life with activities and outings around health and well-being. This helps to foster belonging and friendships.

The Student Success Center gets the Jump Start program students together to continually foster these friendships with group outings and offerings through the year. In addition to outings and programing for all students.

This year the Jump Start Reunion focused on helping students celebrate fall with a visit to Landess Farms in Daleville, Indiana. They have a pumpkin patch, hayride, and corn maze which was a perfect setting for team-building. They also have an area with a bounce pad, large slide, pedal tractor racetrack, and a small gift shop with homemade goodies.  The Jump Start outing to Landess Farm was fantastic. They were very accommodating to our group, and we had a ton of fun.

The College begins recruiting for the Jump Start Program in the summer during orientation. The application is open to incoming freshman, with any major in the College of Health. If you’re interested in learning more about Jump Start you can contact Nick Atlas, Director of Student Services.
