CCIMOutreach.com is now live! The name change from BSU Journalism Workshops to CCIM Outreach has been months in the making. We are so happy to finally showcase all the outreach and student success programming in one place. This is a huge step forward with the expansion of services and we are continually growing and adapting to our students’ needs.

What is CCIM Outreach?
CCIM Outreach is a combination of Events and Workshops for both current and incoming students. Events include the CCIM+ Career & Internship Fair, CCIM+ Day, Student Contests, and Alumni Panels. CCIM+ Day, along with some of the contests are a great way for high schoolers to get involved, explore Ball State and learn something innovative along the way.
Workshops continue to evolve, starting with the CCIM+ Summer Experience. We offer a robust summer experience for middle and high school students looking to become better leaders, writers, storytellers, communicators, designers, editors, photographers, videographers, orators, debaters, and more! The best part is, there is no experience is necessary.
During the summer, we also offer Jump Start, a new first-year transition program exclusively for incoming freshmen students. Jump Start participants will move directly into their assigned residence hall room (early!), engage with faculty in the college, meet other first-year students in their major, and become familiar with Ball State’s beautiful campus. CCIM has planned a truly unique experience for students, focusing on aspects of their study that will help the students to be better prepared to successfully start their first year at Ball State.
We will also have a Speech Camp coming soon, so make sure to check back later in the year.
CCIM Career Resources
Our newest efforts include a “CCIM Career Resources” Canvas community to assist all CCIM students in their career development. This community resource is available to every major and minor within CCIM. What does it do, you ask? In the CCIM Career Resources community, we post information about internships, jobs, scholarships, competitions, professional development, conferences, special lectures, workshops, etc. — basically, anything that would be of benefit to our students and their future careers.
