  • CCIMOutreach.com is now live! The name change from bsujournalismworkshops to ccimoutreach has been months in the making, and we are so happy to finally showcase all the outreach and student success programming they are coordinating for the college. There are still tweaks and updates being made, but this is a huge step forward — and we’ve already heard from some high school teachers about how happy they are to see the expansion in services!

CCIM Units

  • Counselor Connection Day this past November 14th was a huge success, we welcomed nearly 50 counselors to our College and BSU Tonight put on a faux show highlighting our areas. Counselors got to get involved with the production in all crew positions, as well as, reading commercials directly from the teleprompter. This goes to show, when we work together, we can create a truly memorable experience!
  • Ball State aims to support all of its students, including first-generation college students, with a network of resources. On November 8th Ball State hosted a first-generation student get together which was a huge success! Learn more about Ball State’s Inclusive Excellence Plan.
  • Ball State PBS and Indiana Public Radio present the premiere of Comfort and Joy: An IPR Radio Drama Retrospective at 8 p.m. Dec. 11. The documentary will premiere simultaneously on the radio and TV stations. What began as a one-time offering of Orson Wells’ War of the Worlds in 2008 became a now annual tradition enjoyed by all ages. This documentary tells the story of a unique collaboration — among the stations, community members, Ball State faculty, and Ball State students — to create a nostalgic storytelling experience that pays homage to “theater of the mind” radio programs of the 1940s.
