Since Oct. 6, the second-floor hallways of the Art and Journalism Building have been lined with images depicting powerful visual stories created by student and professional photographers.
These award-winning images are part of the Women Photojournalists of Washington’s (WPOWs) Annual Photography and Multimedia Exhibition, which debuts in Washington, D.C., and then goes on tour across the nation.
Thanks to Ball State University’s chapter of the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), Ball State is one of the up to 10 colleges included on the exhibition tour. The WPOW website explains that the colleges and universities chosen to host the exhibition are among “the nation’s most revered colleges and universities.”

The images will remain on display until Nov. 6, but before that, Pulitzer Prize winning photographer Susan Walsh will visit campus to share insights from her distinguished career.
Walsh is a retired Associated Press photographer who has covered the White House, major national events, several Super Bowls, and five Olympic games.
At 11 a.m. on Nov. 5, Walsh will speak in the Unified Media Lab, and all members of the Ball State Community are welcome.
