Students and recent graduates from the Departments of Telecommunication and Journalism won 21 awards spanning 17 categories at the 2021 IASB (Indiana Association of School Broadcasters) College Broadcasting Competition Awards. Ball State also kept the title of “Television School of the Year” won in 2020, 2019 and 2018. The lineup of CCIM winners, faculty mentors, and winning work is showcased below.

  • Project: Nigel Meyer investigated multiple newly-founded student organizations on campus. In his detailed piece, Meyer interviewed the lead organizers of these groups and discussed the fundamentals of the organizations. This story ran as a news package for WCRD’s “Live @ 5” daily news show.

With the help of guest Zack Marot, a Ball State graduate who studied sports administration and management, Napoleon discussed the significance of Fernando Tatis Jr.’s massive contract with the San Diego Padres.
