Congratulations to LA grad Pete Fritz who has been named a Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners.<\/h4>\n

Fritz, FAICP, PLA, joins an elite group of long-time AICP members recognized for \u201cexcellence in professional practice, teaching and mentoring, research, and community service and leadership.\u201d\u00a0 His wife, K.K. Gerhart-Fritz, is also a fellow and a graduate of the Landscape Architecture department.<\/h4>\n

Pete Fritz is the healthy communities planner with the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH), Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity.\u00a0 He has a passion for working with project stakeholders in planning and designing great communities with a focus on promoting healthy, active lifestyles through changes to policies and the built environment.\u00a0 Pete has a unique background in community planning, landscape architecture, and public health, working in both the public and private sectors.\u00a0 Pete has over 35 years of extensive experience in planning and designing active transportation networks.<\/h4>\n

Pete\u2019s current projects include developing and facilitating a series of community active living workshops and managing statewide grant programs supporting active transportation. He is also developing partnerships with IDOH and other state agencies to promote physical activity throughout the state.<\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
