They have received a National Design Award, have been inducted into the ID Hall of Fame, and have received multiple AIA design awards.\u00a0 LTL recently produced a Manual of Physical Distancing, drawing and making legible the spatial and urban implication of the Covid-19. LTL Architects are also the authors of Intensities (2013), Opportunistic Architecture (2008) and Situation Normal&#8230;.Pamphlet Architecture #21 (1998). His diverse project work includes large sites for healthcare and higher education campuses, district land use and transportation planning, as well as smaller public spaces, streetscapes, plazas, and park systems. He is a graduate of the Ball State Construction Management program, and his talk is part of the Ball State University College of Architecture and Planning lecture series.<\/p>\n<p>Key will share how his career has transitioned and how young alumni can positions themselves to grow by taking advantage of opportunities. He will also address typical challenges you might face in the working world and how to overcome them.<\/p>\n<p>An Indianapolis native, Key started his career with Turner Construction where he worked on the Indianapolis Zoo\u2019s International Orangutan Center, multiple healthcare projects, and on the Hinkle Fieldhouse renovations at Butler University. He worked in Tennessee on a mixed use mid-rise project, and then transitioned to Milhaus a little over three years ago. While at Milhaus he relocated to Florida to assist in starting their Florida operations, and relocated back to Indianapolis in 2019 to oversee all construction operations for Milhaus. Projects include the JW Marriott and Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, a casino, hotel, and airport terminal in Las Vegas, the US Air Force Academy cadet chapel renovation in Colorado Springs, and the transportation center at Chicago\u2019s O\u2019Hare airport. Overseas, he worked on The Gate on Reem Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE; the Intercontinental Hotel in Libya, BaHa Mar Resort Casino in Nassau, Bahamas, and more.
