{"id":1361,"date":"2022-09-28T18:15:04","date_gmt":"2022-09-28T22:15:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.bsu.edu\/cap\/?p=1361"},"modified":"2022-10-28T08:37:50","modified_gmt":"2022-10-28T12:37:50","slug":"captober-sketch-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bsu.edu\/cap\/2022\/09\/28\/captober-sketch-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"CAPtober Daily Sketch Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>CAPtober is a new spin on the daily drawing challenge \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/inktober.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">INKtober<\/a>.\u201d This month-long event will serve as a unique opportunity for <strong>ALL CAP student<\/strong>s to create a <strong>quick 5 to 10 minute sketch each day<\/strong> that will be displayed in the (no judgement zone) pin-up space in the atrium of the CAP building.<\/h4>\n<h4>Active participants will be able to compile their new collection of sketches into a sketchbook at the bookbinding event at the end of the month AND those who complete the daily drawing challenge will be eligible to win a PRIZE!<\/h4>\n<h4><strong>It doesn&#8217;t matter what your skills are<\/strong>, the challenge is a way to become more confident in creating quick, loose, gestural drawings. The more you sketch the more comfortable you become and the better you get at it.<\/h4>\n<h4><strong>JUST HAVE FUN WITH IT!<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>HOW IT WORKS&#8230;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Your paper size should be 8.5&#8243; x 5.5&#8243; <em>(half of an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper, CAP office (AB 104) will provide\u00a0<\/em><i>paper if you need it).<\/i><\/li>\n<li>Sketches to be handed into the CAP (AB 104) or CMID (AT 151) offices by 5:00pm each day.<\/li>\n<li>Weekend sketches (Sat. &amp; Sun.) will be turned in with Monday&#8217;s sketch at 5:00pm.<br \/>\n(total of 3 on Monday)<\/li>\n<li>5 to 10 minute\u00a0pen and ink or pencil sketches ONLY.<\/li>\n<li>Put your <strong>last name_first name_date<\/strong> on the back of your sketch.\u00a0 example: Smith_Audrey_01<\/li>\n<li>Every Monday and Friday will be new design prompts of topics to sketch. You&#8217;ll sketch that topic each day until the next prompt is given. Try to think of different ways to interpret the topic for each sketch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300\"><strong>NOTE:<\/strong><\/span> We know field trip week is coming up and many of you are not on campus, you can upload your sketches to a OneDrive folder.
